Centre Gives Green Signal for AYUSH Hospital in Karimnagar: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay

Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar announced good news for the people of Karimnagar district, stating that the Central Government has given its approval for the establishment of an AYUSH hospital in the district. Responding positively to his appeal, the Union Ministry has granted permission to set up a 50-bed AYUSH hospital, aimed at providing traditional healthcare services to the public.

According to the Minister, the Central Government has sanctioned an estimated ₹15 crore for the project, out of which the first instalment of ₹7.5 crore has already been released. Administrative orders have also been issued to initiate the hospital setup process.

The Centre has communicated to the Telangana State Government regarding the selection of a suitable site for the hospital. While approvals and funding have been extended by the Centre, responsibilities such as land allocation, hospital maintenance, and the recruitment of doctors and other staff have been entrusted to the state government.

Once operational, the AYUSH hospital will offer a wide range of traditional medical services, including Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy, with a focus on treating chronic and lifestyle-related diseases. Medical experts believe that the facility will provide patients with better and holistic treatment options.

Following the Centre’s approval, Karimnagar District Collector Pamela Satpati convened a meeting with AYUSH department officials to discuss preliminary arrangements for setting up the hospital. Key aspects such as land availability, basic infrastructure, transportation access, and public convenience were thoroughly reviewed. Officials emphasized that the hospital location should be easily accessible to residents of Karimnagar as well as people from neighboring districts.

The proposed AYUSH hospital is expected to significantly benefit the region by expanding access to quality traditional healthcare. Local residents and leaders have expressed gratitude to Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar for taking the initiative and bringing the project to Karimnagar.
