The Raja Saab Day 1 Nizam Collections: Prabhas’ Film Opens Strong Despite Hurdles

Prabhas’ much-anticipated film The Raja Saab hit theatres yesterday and opened to mixed reviews. Directed by Maruthi, the horror-fantasy entertainer faced initial challenges in Telangana, where ticket bookings for paid premieres were opened late and the number of shows was limited.

Even first-day bookings began only after midnight, yet the film managed an impressive opening. The Raja Saab collected approximately Rs. 22.5 crore gross on Day 1 in the Nizam territory, including limited premiere shows. These figures once again highlight Nizam as one of Prabhas’ strongest box office regions.

By the time bookings opened in Telangana, early word-of-mouth had already circulated. Nevertheless, Prabhas’ massive fan following and star power ensured a solid start for this Maruthi directorial venture.
