Parasakthi: Early Reviews for Sivakarthikeyan’s Film Leave Fans Disappointed

Sivakarthikeyan’s much-awaited political action drama Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara, has finally hit theatres today after facing multiple hurdles during the censorship process. Since the film revolves around the anti-Hindi imposition movement in Tamil Nadu, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had suggested several modifications before granting clearance.

Now that the film has reached cinemas, early reviews from critics have been largely disappointing. The movie is being described as below average, with major criticism directed at its narration, which is said to be slow, dull, and lacking engagement. While the period setting and lead performances have received some appreciation, most other aspects have failed to impress reviewers.

With such mixed-to-negative early responses, it remains to be seen how Parasakthi will perform at the box office in the coming days.

The film features Sreeleela, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and others in key roles. It is produced by Aakash Baskaran under the Dawn Pictures banner, with music composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar. Rana Daggubati and Basil Joseph appear in cameo roles.
