YSR Congress Questions RRR’s 45k Majority

After suffering a significant setback in the elections, with the YSR Congress being reduced to just 11 seats, the party quickly resorted to an all-too-familiar narrative—the claim of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) tampering. This time, the party’s mouthpiece, Sakshi Media, went a step further and specifically targeted YSR Congress’s arch-rival, Raghu Rama Krishna Raju (RRR), asserting that he secured the Undi seat only because of EVM manipulation.

The Allegations by YCP Media

In a recently aired program, Sakshi Media focused on one topic: the claim that RRR won the Undi seat not due to voter support, but because of EVM tampering. The program featured an interview with a man who claimed to be a native of Undi.

The man stated, “Raghu Rama Krishna Raju was not even in the race in Undi. Many villages refused to let him enter. So, how did he manage to win by a 45,000-vote majority? It is clearly a case of EVM manipulation.”

A Blatant Smear Campaign

Rather than providing evidence to support this claim, the YCP media outlet did not conduct a ground report or attempt to verify the allegations through the verification of VVPAT slips or local election trends. Instead, they put forth a program that appeared to be a smear campaign against RRR, relying solely on the word of a supposed Undi resident.

This approach from YSR Congress media reflects their frustration and disappointment after a devastating loss in the elections. However, rather than accepting the defeat and showing respect for the democratic process, they have chosen to perpetuate baseless claims that undermine the electoral mandate.

Respecting the Voter’s Mandate

RRR’s victory with a 45,000-vote majority in Undi is not a small feat, and dismissing it as a result of EVM manipulation is disrespectful to both the voters and the electoral system. The YSR Congress’s attempts to undermine RRR’s win in such a way reveals a lack of respect for the people’s decision. Instead of acknowledging the public’s choice, the party has resorted to conspiracy theories.

RRR’s Expected Response
