YCP Claims Jagan’s Life Is at Risk, Seeks Central Security

YCP Alleges Threat to Jagan’s Life, Seeks Seeks Central Security

The YSR Congress Party (YCP) has raised concerns over YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s security, claiming that his life is at risk. The party is now demanding central security arrangements for the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister.

Election Code Violation Sparks Controversy

A few days ago, Jagan visited Guntur Mirchi Yard, holding a public meeting despite the election code being in effect. Since this event violated the code, the police department did not provide security for the visit.

However, YCP is now using this incident to build a larger narrative, alleging that the lack of security is a deliberate political conspiracy against Jagan.

YCP Appeals to PM Modi and Amit Shah

YCP MP Midhun Reddy has formally written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, seeking additional central security for Jagan.

His letter states:

“The recent visit to the Guntur Mirchi Market Yard exposed the alarming lack of security presence, despite prior intimation to the concerned officials. This negligence raises serious questions about the intent behind such a lapse, especially considering the fact that the former CM has Z+ category protection by central agencies.”

The letter further claims that this is not an isolated incident but part of a larger conspiracy orchestrated by the coalition government to limit Jagan’s movement, even at the risk of his safety.

YCP also alleged that Jagan’s bulletproof vehicle has deteriorated, using this to strengthen their security concerns and demand enhanced protection from central agencies.

Chandrababu Dismisses YCP’s Claims

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu has dismissed the claims, stating that Jagan knowingly violated the election code. He questioned:

“If he breaks the law today and the police protect him, what stops him from committing another violation tomorrow?”

He accused YCP of using the security issue for political mileage rather than addressing genuine concerns.

Will the Central Security to YCP’s Demand?

With YCP seeking central intervention, all eyes are now on the Union government’s response to this escalating controversy.

Stay tuned for further updates.
