Fulfilling a Noble Wish
Vijayalakshmi, a Hyderabad resident, recently met Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu to hand over a ₹1 crore cheque. The funds came from the sale of a house plot in Hyderabad, a decision inspired by her late mother, Indiradevi.
According to Vijayalakshmi, it was her mother’s cherished wish to sell the family’s property in Hyderabad and donate the proceeds toward the construction of Amaravati. She believed that contributing to the capital project would make their family part of history.
Pride Over Possessions
Vijayalakshmi expressed that donating their hard-earned money for the betterment of Amaravati brought her family immense pride, far greater than owning the property itself. She added that their contribution would allow them to play a small yet significant role in the creation of Andhra Pradesh’s capital.
