Why “Bharathi Cement” and Not “Sharmila Cement”?
Why Bharathi Cement: Background of the Jagan-Sharmila Feud
The ongoing rift between YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his sister YS Sharmila has escalated, raising many questions. This feud centers on a claim over their late father YSR’s assets. Recently, YCP spokesperson Perni Nani defended Jagan’s actions, while questioning Sharmila’s intentions. As Jagan and Sharmila’s dispute unfolds, YCP’s Perni Nani questions why YSR named his business “Bharathi Cement” and not “Sharmila Cement.”
Perni Nani’s Question: Why “Bharathi Cement”?
In his statement, Perni Nani raised a direct question: “If YSR truly favored Sharmila, why did he name his cement company Bharathi Cement and not Sharmila Cement?” According to Nani, this name choice shows YSR’s priorities. He suggests that naming it “Bharathi Cement” reflects that Sharmila’s role may have been limited in her father’s legacy.
Sharmila’s Stand: Equal Division of Assets
Sharmila, however, disagrees with Nani’s stance. She recently claimed that YSR intended for his assets to be divided equally among his four grandchildren. Sharmila insists that this was her father’s wish. By openly sharing her view, Sharmila accuses Jagan of neglecting their father’s desires for family harmony. Yet, Nani insists that Jagan has already given Sharmila her fair share, implying that Jagan has fulfilled his duty.
Alleged Betrayal of YSR’s Legacy
Nani also commented on Sharmila’s political choices, stating they go against YSR’s values. He questioned her recent alliances and stated, “Anyone who values YSR’s legacy would never join hands with Chandrababu Naidu.” He believes Sharmila’s recent choices could distance her from loyal YSR supporters, risking further alienation from her father’s legacy.
What’s Next for Sharmila?
With Perni Nani’s statements in the spotlight, Sharmila may respond soon. As the family feud continues, it’s uncertain whether this conflict will end peacefully. This public dispute could affect both Jagan’s political image and Sharmila’s connection to her father’s legacy.
