US Deports 119 Indians in Second Flight, Third Deportation Soon

US Deports 119 Indians as Crackdown on Illegal Immigration Continues

In a significant move, the US Deports 119 Indian immigrants, who arrived at Amritsar International Airport on Saturday night. This is the second mass deportation in just 10 days, following the first flight on February 5, which carried 104 Indian deportees.

The deportees, who had been living in the US without legal documentation, were flown back on a C-17 Globemaster aircraft of the US Air Force, which landed at 11:40 PM. The latest round of deportations is part of the US government’s intensified crackdown on illegal immigration.

Why Are Indians Being Deported from the US?

The Biden administration has taken a firm stance on illegal immigration, implementing stricter border policies and deportation measures. Many Indian immigrants enter the US through illegal channels, including the Mexico border, in search of better job opportunities and a secure future.

However, with rising concerns over border security, the US government is ramping up efforts to identify and deport undocumented immigrants.

The US immigration authorities, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, have been:
Conducting nationwide raids to track illegal immigrants
Reviewing expired or fake visas
Identifying those who entered the country without proper documentation
Deporting individuals who violated immigration laws

State-Wise Breakdown of Deportees

Among the 119 deported Indians, the highest numbers are from Punjab, a state known for high migration rates to the US. The breakdown is as follows:

  • Punjab – 67 deportees
  • Haryana – 33 deportees
  • Gujarat – 8 deportees
  • Uttar Pradesh – 3 deportees
  • Goa, Maharashtra, Rajasthan – 2 deportees each
  • Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir – 1 deportee each

Several family members of the deportees gathered at Amritsar Airport, eagerly waiting to receive their loved ones. Many expressed concern and disappointment over their sudden return.

Third Deportation Flight Expected Soon

A third deportation flight, carrying 157 more Indian immigrants, is scheduled to arrive in India on Sunday. This means a total of 380 Indians would have deported in less than a month.

With this ongoing trend, many Indian immigrants in the US fear more mass deportations in the coming weeks.

The recent surge in deportations has raised concerns among Indian communities, especially those still awaiting citizenship or visa approvals. Many Indian students, skilled workers, and asylum seekers now worry about their legal status in the US.

Additionally, travel agents and immigration consultants in India have warned aspiring migrants to reconsider illegal immigration routes, as the US government’s policies are becoming more stringent.

Indian Government’s Response on US Deports

The Indian government has taken note of the deportations and is in discussions with US authorities regarding:

  • The treatment of deported individuals
  • Legal options for Indian immigrants facing deportation
  • Future diplomatic efforts to address the issue

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has urged Indian citizens to follow legal immigration procedures to avoid such situations in the future.

What’s Next? Will the Crackdown Continue?

With the third flight expected soon, it is clear that the US is tightening its grip on illegal immigration. Many experts believe that more deportation flights could follow in the coming months.

For those planning to migrate to the US, it is crucial to:
Follow legal immigration pathways
Stay updated on US visa policies
Avoid unauthorized agents promising illegal entry

With the situation evolving rapidly, let’s wait and see how India and the US navigate this immigration challenge.
