TTD Under BR Naidu: A Step Towards Tradition and Order

TTD Reforms Under BR Naidu: A New Era

The appointment of BR Naidu as the chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board has ushered in a series of much-needed reforms. These changes address longstanding concerns and aim to preserve the sanctity and tradition of the revered Tirumala temple while improving the overall experience for devotees.

Ban on Politics at Tirumala

One of the most notable reforms is the ban on political discussions at the Tirumala shrine. Going forward, no individual or group is allowed to speak about active politics within the premises of Tirumala. This decision ensures that the focus remains solely on spiritual activities, keeping the temple free from political distractions.

Naming Policy for Guesthouses

The TTD has also introduced a new rule prohibiting individuals and organizations from naming guesthouses after themselves. Instead, all guesthouses must bear names associated with Lord Balaji, reflecting the spiritual ethos of the location. This move is expected to reinforce the sacred identity of the temple town.

Under BR Naidu: Improved Sarva Darshanam for Devotees

For devotees opting for Sarva Darshanam, the waiting time for darshan has been significantly reduced. A new mechanism ensures that pilgrims can now complete their darshan within 2-3 hours, a vast improvement from the earlier lengthy timelines. This change prioritizes the convenience of ordinary devotees and enhances their spiritual journey.

Cancellation of Controversial Allocations

The Vizag Sharadha Peetham guesthouse allocation, a controversial decision by the previous administration, has revoked. The property will now return to TTD’s direct administration, ensuring that the temple’s assets remain aligned with its core objectives.

Under BR Naidu: Mandate on Employee Religion

In a major policy shift, the TTD has mandated that all its employees must be practicing Hindus. This rule aims to uphold the traditions and practices of the temple and ensures that those involved in temple administration share its spiritual values.

A Step Towards Tradition and Devotion

These reforms reflect the TTD board’s commitment to preserving the sanctity of Tirumala while improving facilities for devotees. By banning political discourse, enforcing a tradition-aligned naming policy, and introducing efficient darshan protocols, the TTD is making strides toward a more organized and spiritually-focused administration.
