Telangana Cabinet Set for Expansion
After nearly 15 months since the formation of the Congress government in Telangana, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is preparing for a cabinet expansion. With six vacancies in the cabinet, the government has decided to fill four positions in the first phase.
CM Revanth Reddy recently held crucial meetings in Delhi with AICC leaders Mallikarjuna Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and KC Venugopal to finalize the new cabinet inductees.
Who Are the New Ministers?
As per inside sources, the following four names are being strongly considered for the cabinet expansion:
🔹 Srihari Mudiraj (Mahbubnagar)
🔹 Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy (Nalgonda)
🔹 Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy (Adilabad)
🔹 Sudarshan Reddy (Nizamabad)
These appointments are reportedly in line with the Congress party’s election promises and aim to strengthen regional representation.
Deputy Speaker & Chief Whip Positions Remain Vacant
Despite six available cabinet positions, the Congress high command has decided to fill only four seats for now. The positions of Deputy Speaker and Chief Whip will remain vacant until further notice.
Rajagopal Reddy’s Strong Cabinet Ambition
Among the proposed ministers, Rajagopal Reddy has been particularly vocal about his desire to join the cabinet.
📌 He has repeatedly raised the issue in the assembly and even had heated exchanges with BRS leaders over it.
📌 If confirmed, this will mark a historic moment as both Komatireddy brothers will hold key cabinet positions.
Meanwhile, Gaddam Vivek’s possible inclusion also being closely watched, as his presence could impact the Congress party’s strategy in North Telangana.
