Newly appointed MLC in Andhra Pradesh, Somu Veerraju, has made headlines with his sharp criticism of KCR and Jagan. His comments on YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy were relatively straightforward, as he stated:
“Jagan is dreaming of becoming the CM again, but it is never going to happen.”
However, his harsh attack on KCR was completely unexpected and has now become a hot topic in political discussions.
Somu Veerraju Calls KCR a ‘Gunta Nakka’
In an uncharacteristically aggressive outburst, Veerraju called KCR a ‘Gunta Nakka’ (sly fox) and criticized his political tactics and leadership in Telangana.
“KCR is a Gunta Nakka who can’t sleep at night. He has lost his mental balance and is making strange political statements. He tricked the people of Telangana into believing he was a good CM and held power for 10 years. But once the mask was removed, Telangana voters punished him.”
Veerraju further went on to state that while the AP government is working towards development, KCR is more focused on advancing his family’s political interests, including his son, daughter, and nephew.
This scathing attack has now raised questions about the growing rivalry between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh leaders, with Veerraju leading the charge from AP’s political camp.
Why Did Veerraju Target KCR Now?
Veerraju’s sudden aggression towards KCR comes amid recent political developments in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Recently, unverified reports surfaced on social media claiming that KCR allegedly told his close aides that the only reason Chandrababu Naidu won the AP elections was because of the NDA alliance.
As these rumors started gaining traction online, Veerraju stepped in and launched his attack on KCR, seemingly in response to these claims.
This move has sparked further speculation about the possible political realignments in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, especially as leaders from both states are making more direct comments about each other.
Veerraju’s Changing Political Stance
This is not the first time Veerraju has made headlines for his shifting political alignment.
At one point, he was perceived as a supporter of Jagan, but over time, he has transitioned into a strong voice for the NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh.
After securing his MLC post under the NDA umbrella, Veerraju has taken a more aggressive stance against both Jagan and KCR, signaling a clear shift in his political strategy.
His statements also indicate that he is actively positioning himself as a prominent leader within the NDA-backed Andhra Pradesh government, as he continues to challenge opposition leaders.
How Will KCR and Jagan Respond?
Given the harsh nature of Veerraju’s comments, it remains to seen how KCR and his party (BRS) will react.
KCR has always known for his strong counterattacks, and if he chooses to respond to Veerraju’s remarks, the political battle between AP and Telangana could further escalate.
On the other hand, Jagan, who also targeted in Veerraju’s speech, might prefer to stay silent as he deals with his own political challenges in Andhra Pradesh.
