Supreme Court Sets Up SIT for Tirumala Laddu Controversy
The Supreme Court has taken a major step in addressing the Tirumala Laddu adulteration controversy. The court has established a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to handle the case. This SIT will include two officers from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), two officers from the Andhra Pradesh State Police, and a representative from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). The decision aims to ensure a fair and detailed investigation into the matter.
Chandrababu Naidu Shows Confidence in Supreme Court’s Decision
Following the court’s announcement, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his full support for the investigation. He took to Twitter and said:
“I welcome the Honourable Supreme Court’s decision to form an SIT, including officers from CBI, AP Police, and FSSAI, to investigate the adulteration of Tirupati Laddu. Satyamev Jayate. Om Namo Venkatesaya.”
Naidu’s message shows his strong belief that the investigation will bring out the truth. By quoting Satyamev Jayate, which means “Truth Alone Triumphs,” he emphasized the importance of honesty and integrity in the matter.
AP Government Ready for Independent Probe (SIT)
Naidu’s public support for the SIT suggests that the Andhra Pradesh government is fully prepared to cooperate. His confidence reflects the government’s stance on the matter, indicating that they expect the investigation to be impartial and thorough. This readiness may cause concern for YCP cadres, as they face the possibility of being scrutinized by an independent central body.
The court has made it clear that the CBI will monitor the investigation closely, ensuring a transparent process.
