Sharmila Ready to Take Jagan to Court Over Adani Bribery Allegations
The ongoing rift between YS Sharmila and her brother, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has escalated into a legal and political battle. The property dispute between the siblings has now spilled into public view, with Sharmila vowing to take the matter and jagan to court over serious Adani bribery allegations.
Sharmila’s Explosive Claims
YS Sharmila, the Andhra Pradesh Congress president, took to Twitter to launch a scathing attack on her brother, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who also leads the YSR Congress. Sharmila questioned why no action has been taken regarding reports linking Jagan to alleged bribes from the Adani Group worth ₹1750 crores.
She directly addressed Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, urging him to intervene.
“While there are blatant reports linking Jagan Mohan Reddy to ₹1750 crore bribes from Adani, why isn’t Chandrababu Naidu cancelling the agreement and initiating an investigation?” Sharmila asked on Twitter.
Allegations of Financial Burden on Andhra Pradesh
Sharmila did not stop at the bribery claims. She further accused Jagan of imposing an enormous financial burden on the people of Andhra Pradesh.
“Jagan has burdened the state with ₹1.5 lakh crore in financial losses just to pocket ₹1750 crores for himself,” Sharmila alleged.
This strong statement is a part of her continued attack against Jagan, holding him responsible for the state’s financial troubles.
Sharmila’s Legal Threat
In a significant escalation, Sharmila declared that if Chandrababu Naidu fails to initiate an investigation into the bribery allegations, she will personally approach the court on behalf of Congress.
“Chandrababu must immediately expose the details of this bribery scandal. If he doesn’t act, I will file a petition in court,” she stated firmly.
This move signals her determination to take the legal route, further intensifying the already bitter conflict with her brother.
Jagan’s Defamation Cases vs Sharmila’s Claims to Take Jagan to Court
While Sharmila openly targets Jagan over the alleged Adani scandal, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken a defensive stance. He recently filed defamation cases against major media outlets like Eenadu and ABN, accusing them of wrongly implicating him in the bribery scandal.
However, Sharmila’s willingness to approach the court reinforces the perception that there could be deeper issues surrounding this case. Her bold stance raises questions about Jagan’s involvement and accountability, further polarizing the political narrative in Andhra Pradesh.
Political Fallout and Implications
This latest development marks a new chapter in the ongoing feud between Sharmila and Jagan, one that combines personal rivalry with political strategy. The Adani bribery allegations have provided Sharmila with a strong platform to attack Jagan while projecting herself as a fighter against corruption.
At the same time, her direct challenge to Chandrababu Naidu puts pressure on the ruling government to act. Whether Chandrababu will initiate an investigation remains to be seen.
If Sharmila follows through with her promise to take the case to court, the outcome could have serious implications for both Jagan Mohan Reddy and the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh.
