Sai Reddy Hits Back at Jagan’s ‘Character’ Comment After Quitting
Sai Reddy Hits Back at Jagan’s ‘Character’ Comment After Quitting YSRCP
After decades of loyalty to the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and a close association with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Vijay Sai Reddy has officially resigned from the party and retired from politics. Once considered Jagan’s most trusted ally, Sai Reddy Hits Back in YSRCP. However, recent reports suggested that he was being sidelined within the party, which eventually led to his exit.
Jagan’s Harsh Remarks on Sai Reddy’s Exit
Jagan Mohan Reddy did not take Sai Reddy’s resignation lightly. Commenting on Sai Reddy and other Rajya Sabha MPs who left YSRCP, Jagan stated:
“Be it Sai Reddy or any of the three Rajya Sabha MPs who left my party, they must have had character and credibility in tough times, rather than bowing to pressure. This character is what decides the integrity of a politician.”
These remarks took many by surprise, as they expected Jagan to respond with empathy regarding Sai Reddy’s departure.
Sai Reddy’s Strong Response to Jagan
Refusing to remain silent, Sai Reddy hit back at Jagan through a bold tweet, defending his decision:
“I am a man with character and credibility, even at a personal level. That is the reason why I did not succumb to pressure. I didn’t bow to any political pressure; I just decided to quit my political career.”
This response makes it clear that Sai Reddy is not willing to let Jagan’s remarks go unanswered.
JSai Reddy Hits Back: agan Losing Key Political Allies?
Jagan has already lost the support of his mother, Vijayamma, and sister, YS Sharmila, who have distanced themselves from him. Now, with Sai Reddy also cutting ties, it appears that Jagan is losing key allies who once stood by him.
Sai Reddy’s exit from politics and strong rebuttal to Jagan’s criticism adds another layer of political turmoil within the YSRCP. Whether this will have a larger impact on Jagan’s leadership remains to be seen.
