Since it launched, HYDRAA has focused on removing illegal constructions in Full Tank Levels (FTL) and buffer zones. These encroachments have worsened environmental issues like flash floods and the disappearance of lakes. Public Outcry and Clarification

HYDRAA recently faced criticism for targeting smaller establishments and homes in lower-income areas. This backlash led to a response from HYDRAA’s chief, IPS AV Ranganath. He stated the agency would no longer demolish fully built houses in occupied areas. The announcement calmed some concerns about the displacement of low-income residents.

Despite rumors of HYDRAA slowing down, Revanth Reddy remains committed. The Chief Minister reassured the public that HYDRAA will continue to operate at full speed. “HYDRAA was created to stop illegal constructions in FTL and buffer zones. Recent Demolitions in GHMC Area

Following the CM’s direction, HYDRAA demolished 23 illegal constructions in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area. The agency’s commitment to removing illegal structures remains strong, proving the rumors wrong. HYDRAA’s rapid actions show its resolve to restore Hyderabad’s water systems and prevent future environmental disasters.
