Revanth Reddy Faces Unified Opposition Over HYDRAA
Major Parties Unite Against Revanth Reddy’s HYDRAA Initiative
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is gaining support from the public for his firm stance on illegal encroachments in Hyderabad. However, opposition parties like BRS, BJP, and MIM are joining forces to criticize his bold moves.
HYDRAA Takes Bold Steps
HYDRAA, the Hyderabad Development and Regulation Authority, has been actively demolishing illegal constructions. These include buildings that encroach on lakes and buffer zones. This tough action has garnered attention, leading to criticism from several political parties.
Opposition Criticism on Revanth Reddy
Leading the charge is KTR from the BRS party. KTR accuses HYDRAA of being a tool used by Revanth to target his political rivals. KTR’s frustration is evident, especially since his Janwada farmhouse is also under investigation. He claims he doesn’t own the farmhouse, stating he is simply leasing it from a friend.
On the other hand, BJP’s Eatala Rajendar is accusing Revanth of using HYDRAA to instill fear in the public. He argues that Revanth is trying to enforce authoritarian rule in Telangana by threatening to demolish properties owned by those who oppose him.
Similarly, MIM’s Owaisi expressed concerns over HYDRAA’s actions. He questioned whether the government would demolish buildings near Hussain Sagar Lake or even the GHMC office, which he claims are built in restricted zones.
Unusual Unity Among Opponents
What is remarkable about this situation is that the BRS, BJP, and MIM – usually at odds with each other – have united in their criticism of Revanth Reddy’s HYDRAA initiative. They all seem to be speaking out against what they see as a misuse of power.
Not All Opposition Agrees
Despite this, not all BJP leaders are opposed to HYDRAA. Raghunandan Rao, a prominent BJP figure, voiced his support for Revanth’s actions. He believes that HYDRAA is essential for curbing illegal land occupations in Hyderabad. According to him, HYDRAA is on the right path and is making a positive impact.
Revanth’s Stand
Amid all the criticism, Revanth Reddy remains firm. He recently stated that he won’t give in to any pressure. His mission is to fight against illegal constructions with determination and without compromise.
