Revanth Reddy Slams Allu Arjun in Assembly Over Sandhya Theatre Tragedy

In a fiery speech during the Telangana Assembly session today, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directed sharp criticism at actor Allu Arjun, holding him accountable for the unfortunate events that unfolded during the incident.
Stampede at Sandhya Theatre: CM’s Accusations
Revanth Reddy highlighted the tragic loss of a mother named Revathi, who succumbed to injuries sustained during a stampede at the Sandhya Theatre. He alleged that Allu Arjun’s actions directly contributed to the uncontrollable crowd frenzy that led to the incident.
“Allu Arjun and the actress were explicitly instructed not to visit the theatre due to the lack of multiple entry points, which posed a significant risk of overcrowding. Despite these warnings, Allu Arjun arrived at the venue and led a parade atop an open-roof car, further inciting the crowd,” Revanth stated during the session.
The Chief Minister emphasized that this publicity stunt had severe consequences, claiming the life of a mother and leaving her son fighting for his life in the hospital.
Celebrity Meet-Up Sparks Controversy
Revanth Reddy also criticized the film industry for its actions following the incident. Referring to the gathering of celebrities at Allu Arjun’s residence after his release from jail, Revanth expressed his displeasure.
“Did the actor lose a limb or suffer a life-threatening injury? What justified the film fraternity’s visit to his house after his jail stint? Yet, not one of them thought to visit or console the grieving family who lost a mother and whose son is battling for his life,” Revanth questioned.
Continued Public Greeting Post-Tragedy
Adding to his criticism, Revanth pointed out that even after being informed of the tragic stampede, Allu Arjun continued to greet the public by waving from his vehicle while exiting the theatre.
“The lack of responsibility and insensitivity shown by the actor is shocking. Despite knowing the gravity of the situation, he chose to continue with his public display,” the Chief Minister remarked, expressing frustration and disappointment.
