Revanth Reddy Calls Out BRS, Urges Them to Share Wealth
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has once again taken a strong stance against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), accusing the party of amassing wealth at the expense of the public. In a recent speech, he urged the BRS to contribute to the welfare of the poor by sharing its assets with those in need across the state. Revanth Reddy urges BRS to donate Rs 500 crore to Telangana’s poor, accusing party leaders to share wealth at the public’s expense.
Revanth Reddy Demands BRS Donate to the Poor for share Wealth
Speaking at a program in Hyderabad, Revanth Reddy highlighted that the BRS has accumulated approximately Rs 1,500 crore in its party accounts. He suggested that the party donate at least Rs 500 crore to the underprivileged in Telangana. “The BRS has hoarded a massive fortune while the people of Telangana suffer from poverty,” Reddy stated, pressing for a substantial donation to benefit the state’s disadvantaged communities.
Allegations of Wealth Accumulation by BRS Leaders
Revanth Reddy also took aim at the former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) and his son K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), accusing them of amassing wealth over the past decade. He pointed to their election affidavits, which he claims reveal a significant increase in their assets. “Their wealth has skyrocketed while the average citizen’s bank balance has dwindled,” Revanth Reddy remarked, casting doubt on the source of the BRS leaders’ fortunes.
He went on to argue that the riches accumulated by KCR and KTR were not a result of legacy wealth but rather funds looted from the public. “This wealth doesn’t belong to you, it was looted from the people,” he added, further accusing the BRS of using illicit means to grow their assets.
Criticism of BRS’s Media and Business Ventures
Revanth Reddy also criticized the expansion of the BRS’s assets, including their ownership of media houses, farmhouses, and party offices. He claimed that while the party’s wealth continued to grow, the people of Telangana, particularly the youth, were suffering. “While the BRS leaders’ fortunes multiplied, the youth were losing hope and the general population was being driven into poverty,” he lamented.
Revanth Predicts BRS’s Downfall
In a closing remark, Revanth Reddy dismissed the BRS’s chances of returning to power, suggesting that the party was relying too heavily on social media campaigns to secure votes. He predicted a downfall for the BRS leaders, stating that they wouldn’t return to power but would instead face legal consequences. “They are daydreaming if they think social media will bring them back to power. Instead, they should prepare for Charlapally jail,” he declared, referring to a prominent jail in Telangana.
Conclusion: A Call for Accountability to Share Wealth
Revanth Reddy’s remarks have stirred up political conversations in Telangana as he continues to pressure the BRS for transparency and accountability. His demand for the party to donate its wealth to the state’s poor underscores his push for a more equitable distribution of resources in Telangana.
