The Telangana government has appointed Dr. Ghanta Chakrapani as the Vice Chancellor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU). With a three-year term, he set to bring transformative changes to the university. Previously, Prof. Chakrapani served as the first Chairman of the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC). His experience in leadership and academic administration positions him as an excellent choice to lead BRAOU.
Prof. Chakrapani will serve a three-year term, starting immediately. He previously served as the first Chairman of the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), earning recognition for his impactful leadership.

In addition to this appointment, Prof. V. Balakista Reddy has named the in-charge Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Hyderabad. Prof. Reddy, the Chairman of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), steps into the role after Burra Venkatesham’s resignation.
Venkatesham, a senior bureaucrat, opted for voluntary retirement following his appointment as Chairman of the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC).
