During his address at the event, CM Chandrababu Naidu shared his ambitious plans to transform Amaravati into the drone capital of India. He highlighted the immense potential of drone technology and its role in advancing the state’s technological edge. Naidu’s vision is to make Andhra Pradesh a center for drone innovation and foster an ecosystem where cutting-edge drone applications are developed.

Speaking to drone manufacturers and technology enthusiasts, Naidu stressed the importance of advancing drone technology in various sectors, from agriculture to healthcare, disaster relief, and public security.

New Drone Policy and Land Allocation

To promote the growth of the drone industry. Chandrababu Naidu announced that the Andhra Pradesh government would allocate 300 acres of land in Orvakallu, located in Kurnool District. He stated, “We aim to train 35,000 drone pilots and promote indigenously developed, cost-effective drone applications.” He further added that within the next 15 days. the Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP) will roll out a new policy to create a favorable environment for drone technology and emerging innovations. This policy will be formulated in collaboration with all key stakeholders.

Drone Policy for Greater Good: Babu’s Commitment

Reflecting on the use of drones during flood relief operations in Vijayawada, Naidu explained the various possibilities that drone technology offers. “We’ve seen firsthand during the Vijayawada flood relief operations how drones can assist in real-time. The applications are vast, and the possibilities endless,” Naidu said. He emphasized that drone technology could serve the public across many sectors, such as agriculture, healthcare, and security.

Naidu concluded his speech by reiterating his commitment to announcing the new drone policy within days. Further solidifying Andhra Pradesh’s role as a leader in drone technology and innovation.
