Lokesh highlighted a pressing issue—the drinking water shortage in certain areas of Andhra Pradesh due to the previous government’s inefficiency. He pointed out that Pawan Kalyan, as the minister overseeing water supply, has made this issue his top priority.
“Whatever Pawan Anna thinks, he makes it happen. We discuss this in every cabinet meeting. He has repeatedly stressed that drinking water must reach every household.”
Lokesh further explained that the previous YCP government failed to effectively implement the Centre’s Jal Jeevan Mission, a program aimed at ensuring tap water connections for every home. However, Pawan Kalyan took the initiative and successfully secured central government funds to resume the stalled projects.
“Thanks to Pawan Anna’s efforts, the drinking water project has now reached the tender stage. Soon, we will restart all stalled projects and ensure water supply to every doorstep through pipelines.”
