During YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure as Andhra Pradesh CM, the liquor policy was marred by multiple irregularities. Shortly after the new government launched an inquiry, the CID raided 30 distilleries across Andhra Pradesh, all of which were operational during Jagan’s rule.

TDP MP Lavu Exposes ₹2,000 Cr Scam in Parliament
🔥 TDP MP Lavu Sri Krishnadeva Rayulu, who was previously associated with YCP, made explosive allegations in Parliament, stating:
💬 “Jagan’s liquor scam is even bigger than the Delhi liquor scam. He managed to commit a scam even before liquor production began. ₹2,000 crore transferred to Dubai through his relative, Sunil Reddy. This amount funneled under the guise of an infrastructure company.”
Lavu also named 26 companies, including Adan, Graysons, Leela, JR Associates, and PV Spirits, alleging that these firms made massive profits while producing low-quality liquor.
Will the ED Take Over the Scam Investigation?
Given the serious nature of the allegations and the involvement of foreign transactions, Lavu urged the central government to hand over the case to the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
- The NDA-led state government has already initiated a CID probe, but a deeper investigation by ED could uncover the full extent of the scam.
