Lavu Srikrishna Proposes National Forensic Sciences University

TDP MP Lavu Srikrishna Pushes for NFSU Campus in Andhra Pradesh

Amid ongoing political engagements in Delhi, TDP MP Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu has taken a crucial step toward addressing some of Andhra Pradesh’s most pressing issues. Following the attention-grabbing meeting between Andhra Pradesh minister Nara Lokesh and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Lavu Srikrishna also had an important discussion with the home minister.

The MP from Narsaraopeta Loksabha constituency raised key points during his meeting, including his proposal for the establishment of a National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) campus in Andhra Pradesh. Devarayalu pointed out that several NFSU campuses have already been set up across different states, and it was high time Andhra Pradesh benefited from such a prestigious institution. He emphasized that this would greatly enhance forensic science education and research in the state.

Why Andhra Pradesh Needs an NFSU Campus

Lavu Srikrishna explained that Andhra Pradesh could benefit immensely from having an NFSU campus, especially given the rising need for forensic science expertise in crime investigation and law enforcement. The state is witnessing rapid development, and the establishment of such an institution could not only enhance educational opportunities but also bring national recognition to the state.

A forensic science university could also aid in creating specialized job opportunities for local students, fostering expertise in the field, and promoting advanced research. Devarayalu’s appeal to Amit Shah focused on addressing these gaps by bringing NFSU to the region.

Welfare of the Beda (Budaga) Jangam Community

Apart from his request for NFSU, Devarayalu also brought forward the long-standing issues faced by the Beda (Budaga) Jangam community in Andhra Pradesh. The Beda Jangam community, known for its cultural contributions, has struggled with social and economic marginalization. Devarayalu urged the Union Minister to consider a comprehensive policy that would address the welfare needs of this community. His proposal included creating better welfare schemes, improving access to education, and providing employment opportunities.

The TDP MP emphasized the significant role the Beda Jangam community has played in shaping Andhra Pradesh’s social fabric and how essential it is for the government to invest in their future.

Lavu Srikrishna Proposal: Positive Response from Amit Shah

Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu took to his X (formerly Twitter) profile to share his conversation with Amit Shah, writing: “Today, I met with Honorable Union Home Minister Amit Shah Ji. During the meeting, I requested the establishment of a National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) campus in Andhra Pradesh. I also urged for the formulation of a comprehensive plan to address the social and economic needs of the Budaga Jangam community, including welfare schemes, education, and employment opportunities, and he responded positively to my requests.”

The MP’s efforts highlight a proactive approach toward not just educational development but also social welfare in Andhra Pradesh.

Political Influence and Advocacy for Andhra Pradesh

Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu, who won the 2024 Narsaraopeta Loksabha election on a TDP ticket, has since become the leader of the Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party. His proactive initiatives, such as advocating for the establishment of the NFSU campus and seeking welfare for marginalized communities, underscore his commitment to driving positive change in the state.

As Devarayalu continues to push for development and social reforms in Andhra Pradesh, his proposals could bring transformative benefits to both the education sector and marginalized communities.
