Latest Update on Varra Case: Arrests and Judicial Remand

YSRCP’s Social Media Hate Campaign Exposed

The Andhra Pradesh government has intensified its crackdown on social media hate speech. Kadapa police recently uncovered an organized campaign allegedly run by YSRCP against political rivals. This campaign, which lasted over five years, aimed to defame opposition leaders through derogatory posts. Varra Ravindra Reddy’s arrest reveals YSRCP’s organized social media hate campaign. More arrests may follow as investigations intensify.

Mastermind Varra Ravindra Reddy Arrested

Kadapa police arrested Varra Ravindra Reddy, a social media activist linked to YS Bharati and MP Avinash Reddy. Authorities quickly presented him to the media to prevent any interference from his family. Reports confirm his involvement in spreading abusive content against political opponents. Several others connected to this campaign were also detained.

Court Orders 14-Day Judicial Remand

Today, the police produced Varra Ravindra Reddy in court. The judge ordered 14 days of judicial remand and sent him to Kadapa jail. Two other individuals received 41-A notices and were released.

Varra claimed police mistreated him during custody and requested medical attention. The judge responded by instructing officers to conduct medical tests.

Potential Names to Emerge in the Investigation

Authorities believe this case could reveal more key players. Initial findings indicate that Avinash Reddy’s PA, Raghav Reddy, sent messages to Varra, instructing him to post offensive content targeting Sharmila and Vijayamma.

Reports also point to Sajjala Bhargav Reddy, son of Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy, as a backer of the hate campaign. Allegedly, he used government resources to finance this operation. The police plan to make more arrests soon and aim to set a strong example against online abuse.

AP Government Takes Action on Varra to Curb Hate Speech

The arrest of Varra Ravindra Reddy sends a strong message: the Andhra Pradesh government will not tolerate abusive social media campaigns. As this investigation progresses, more names may come to light, impacting the political scene in the state.
