KTR Accuses Congress and BJP of Threatening TG’s Identity

Telangana’s Pride Under Attack With BJP Congress

KT Rama Rao (KTR), BRS working president, voiced concerns about the threats to Telangana’s identity. He alleged that Congress and BJP are working together to undermine the State’s self-respect. Speaking at the Deeksha Diwas event, he accused Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy of belittling the Telangana movement.

KTR claimed Reddy reduced the historic struggle to a mere act of charity by former Congress president Sonia Gandhi. This, he said, was an insult to those who fought and sacrificed for Statehood.

Erasing Telangana’s Rich Legacy

KTR strongly criticized attempts to erase Telangana’s symbols of pride. He accused Reddy of removing the iconic Kakatiya Kala Thoranam and Charminar from the official seal. “These actions erase not just KCR’s legacy but Telangana’s cultural and historical identity,” KTR said.

He also took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. KTR condemned Modi’s remarks comparing Telangana’s formation to the death of a mother to save her child. He called the statement disrespectful to Telangana’s aspirations and sacrifices.

The Importance of Remembering History

KTR highlighted the need to educate younger generations about Telangana’s history. He emphasized the sacrifices of student martyrs and activists during the Statehood movement. “If we forget our history, we risk losing our identity,” he warned.

He also pointed out how Telangana faced suppression under Congress rule in united Andhra Pradesh. KTR cited recent resistance by farmers and tribals against land acquisition at Lagacherla as proof of Telangana’s resilience.

Accusations Against Revanth Reddy and BJP

KTR accused Revanth Reddy’s government of focusing on real estate over governance. He alleged that the Congress government prioritizes land grabbing at the expense of people’s welfare. “Revanth Reddy knows land grabbing, not governance,” he said, urging unity among Dalits, BCs, tribals, and farmers to resist such actions.

BRS: The True Voice of Telangana

KTR reaffirmed BRS’s role as the protector of Telangana’s identity. He stressed that K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) and BRS would continue to fight for the State’s welfare. “Telangana Bhavan remains a safe haven for all victims seeking justice,” KTR said.

Honoring Telangana’s Heroes

Before the event, KTR and other leaders paid tributes to Telangana martyrs. They garlanded statues of Telangana Thalli and Prof K Jayashankar. A rally from Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital to Telangana Bhavan symbolized their commitment to protecting the State’s pride.
