Journalists Fire Back at Venu Swamy and His Wife Over Allegations
The controversy surrounding astrologer Venu Swamy has escalated after he and his wife made serious allegations against TV5 journalists. The couple accused Murthy of blackmailing them, demanding Rs. 5 crore to stop broadcasting negative content about Venu Swamy. This accusation followed a previous incident where Venu Swamy apologized for predicting the end of actor Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s relationship.
Venu Swamy’s Controversial Prediction
Recently, Venu Swamy predicted that Naga Chaitanya and his fiancée, Sobhita Dhulipala, would break up within a few years. In a video released by Venu Swamy and his wife, Veena Sravani, the couple claimed that TV5 journalist Murthy had been targeting them since 2017. According to their statements, Murthy demanded Rs. 5 crore to stop running negative stories about Venu Swamy. The couple also played an audio recording where a journalist named Amar could be heard discussing Venu Swamy’s financial situation, suggesting he could not pay the demanded sum.
Journalists Respond to Allegations
Journalist Murthy and film reporter Ram Babu quickly responded to these accusations. Ram Babu denied ever having contact with Venu Swamy or his wife. He also noted that the Film Journalists Association had acted independently when they filed a complaint with the Women’s Commission regarding Venu Swamy’s comments about Naga Chaitanya’s engagement.
Murthy went a step further, stating that he is open to a full investigation. He encouraged Venu Swamy to file a police complaint and promised to cooperate fully. Murthy also revealed that both his phone and bank accounts are already under surveillance by the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments.
