Jagan’s Saraswati Power Plant Lands Reclaimed by TDP Govt
TDP Takes Back Illegally Occupied Land from Jagan’s Saraswati Power Plant
The TDP government, under Deputy CM K. Pawan Kalyan, has taken bold action against former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Following the recent seizure of a smuggling ship, the government reclaimed 18 acres of land tied to Jagan’s Saraswati Power Plant. This decisive move sends a strong message against illegal land occupation.
Saraswati Power Plant Land Reclamation Details
Officials reclaimed 13.80 acres in Vemavaram and 3.89 acres in Pinnelli villages. These lands were classified as assigned lands belonging to the forest department. Such lands are meant for Dalits and cannot be sold or leased to private parties.
However, during the YCP regime, rules allegedly relaxed, enabling private parties to benefit. Jagan had secured these lands under a 50-year lease, which many criticized as excessive. Acting on orders from the tahsildar, the government took back the lands, citing clear rule violations.
Family Feud Intensifies
The issue further complicated by a family dispute. Jagan accused his sister, Y.S. Sharmila, of attempting to transfer power plant shares from their mother, Vijayamma, to herself. This feud has drawn public attention, adding to the controversy surrounding Saraswati Power Plant. It was revealed that Jagan had secured these lands on a 50-year lease, a term that Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has openly criticized as “abnormally high” and unfair. The tahsildar has issued official orders to reclaim these lands, citing the violation of assigned land regulations.
Pawan Kalyan’s Strong Stand Against Corruption
Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has openly criticized the 50-year lease agreement, calling it unfair. He has remained committed to exposing corruption and ensuring justice. The government’s decision to reclaim these lands seen as a step in the right direction, safeguarding assigned lands for their intended beneficiaries.
What’s Next?
With the land now under government control, the focus shifts to how it will utilized. This reclamation marks a turning point, reinforcing the TDP’s stand against corruption and illegal practices.
