Jagan’s Frequent Bengaluru Trips: Is Sharmila Behind It?
YSRCP President’s Frequent Visits to Bengaluru
After his recent electoral defeat, YSRCP president and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been making frequent trips between Bengaluru and Vijayawada. He has visited Bengaluru palace four times in the last 40 days, raising eyebrows in media and political circles. This frequency is notable because he rarely visited Bengaluru during his five-year tenure in power.
Choosing Bengaluru Over Hyderabad
Jagan’s preference for staying in Bengaluru, along with his wife Bharathi Reddy, instead of the famous Lotus Pond in Hyderabad, has fueled speculations. Lotus Pond used to be his permanent residence before 2019. This shift has led to numerous media speculations about the reasons behind his recent trips.
Sharmila’s Influence
According to reliable reports, the primary reason behind Jagan’s frequent visits to Bengaluru is his sister and AP Congress chief, Sharmila Reddy. Political circles are abuzz with rumors that Sharmila is currently residing at Lotus Pond in Hyderabad with her family.
Family Feud Over Property
It is well-known that Sharmila and Jagan have been at loggerheads for some time. Although Sharmila has been attacking Jagan politically, rumors suggest that property disputes between the siblings are the main reason for their rivalry. Sources indicate that Sharmila is determined to acquire Lotus Pond, a property constructed during their father Rajasekhar Reddy’s lifetime.
Jagan’s Reluctance
Jagan Mohan Reddy is equally adamant about not leaving the property. Consequently, Sharmila has decided to occupy her part and reside there permanently. It is also heard that their mother, YS Vijayamma, is staying with Sharmila’s family at Lotus Pond. This situation has driven Jagan to choose Bengaluru palace as his residence post-defeat.
Ongoing Family Dispute
Given the deep-rooted nature of the family dispute between Jagan and Sharmila, it seems unlikely that they will reconcile anytime soon. As a result, Jagan is expected to continue residing at Bengaluru palace, while Sharmila remains at Lotus Pond.
