Jagan Skips Court Hearing, Visits Vamsi in Jail

Jagan’s Jail Visit Raises Eyebrows Skips Court Hearing

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is once again at the center of controversy. His recent visit to jail to meet Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who is on remand for an SC person’s kidnapping, has drawn criticism. The timing of this visit is particularly controversial because Jagan skipped his own court hearing in the Kodi Kathi case, leading to widespread political backlash.

Opposition leaders and activists are questioning his priorities—while he finds time for personal visits and political engagements, he continues to ignore his legal responsibilities.

Court Questions Jagan’s Absence in Kodi Kathi Case at Court Hearing

At the latest Vizag NIA Court hearing, the suspect in the Kodi Kathi case, Srinivas, was present, as mandated by the court. However, the victim, Jagan Mohan Reddy, was absent once again. The court noted this absence and postponed the case to March 21 for further proceedings.

Jagan’s habitual absence from court hearings is becoming a growing concern, as this case has now seen over 20 hearings without him making an appearance. His legal team continues to delay and defer the process, raising suspicions about his commitment to the case.

SC Committee Slams Jagan’s Priorities

Following the court hearing, SC Committee Convenor Busi Venkatrao strongly criticized Jagan’s double standards.

“The Chief Minister has time to visit Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who is accused of kidnapping an SC individual, but he doesn’t have time to attend a hearing in his own case? How can he claim to stand for justice when he actively avoids legal scrutiny?”

Venkatrao further pointed out that Srinivas, an SC individual, spent nearly five years in jail, whereas Jagan, despite being the alleged victim, has not cooperated with the investigation. This has led to allegations of political bias and preferential treatment.

Legal and Political Ramifications

Jagan’s refusal to appear in court has now become a major political issue. Opposition parties are accusing him of dodging legal scrutiny while selectively engaging in political and personal matters.

Critics argue that if he truly believes in justice and transparency, he should have been present in court. Instead, his actions are raising doubts about the legitimacy of his claims regarding the Kodi Kathi case.

With the next hearing set for March 21, legal experts suggest that the court might take stricter measures if Jagan continues to ignore the summons. This could potentially lead to legal consequences for non-compliance.

Final Thoughts – Is Jagan Avoiding Accountability?

This incident has further fueled debates about Jagan’s governance and credibility. While his political presence remains strong, his legal track record appears questionable.

As public scrutiny increases, it remains to be seen whether Jagan will finally attend court on March 21 or continue to prioritize political optics over legal accountability.

Will this controversy impact his public image and electoral prospects? Only time will tell.
