Jagan Mocks Chandrababu Naidu Over Power Tariff Hike

YS Jagan Imitates and Criticizes Chandrababu Naidu Over Power Charges

YSR Congress Party president and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken another sharp jab at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. During a meeting with YCP leaders at his camp office in Tadepalli, Jagan launched a satirical attack, mocking Naidu over his alleged failure to deliver on promises related to power tariff reductions. highlighting power tariff hikes and mocking his pre-election promises at a meeting with YCP leaders.

Jagan Targets Chandrababu’s Pre-Election Promise on Power Charges

In his speech, Jagan recalled Chandrababu’s pre-election assurance where he promised, “Nenu unna, Nenu Taggistha” (I’m here, I’ll reduce power charges). Contrary to this promise, Jagan alleged that after becoming Chief Minister, Chandrababu has burdened the public with increased power tariffs.

“After becoming the CM, Chandrababu has imposed over Rs 15,000 crore in additional power charges on the people of Andhra Pradesh,” Jagan remarked during his interaction with party cadres.

The Imitation That Caught Everyone’s Attention

What caught the attention during the meeting was not just Jagan’s criticism but his unique approach to mocking Chandrababu. Jagan humorously imitated Naidu’s mannerisms and dialect, turning the session into a light-hearted affair. He added a satirical twist by pairing his statements with dialogues like, “Neeku 15,000, Neeku 15,000, Neeku 18,000” to highlight the alleged hike in power charges.

This dramatic and humorous delivery was a departure from Jagan’s usual serious tone. It left the attendees in splits and further reinforced his criticism of Chandrababu’s governance.

A Change in Strategy?

Jagan, known for his stern demeanor during his tenure as Chief Minister, seems to have adopted a new strategy to engage his audience and target his political rival. By blending humor and sarcasm, he aims to strike a chord with the public while addressing serious governance issues.

This shift in tone, combined with his focus on specific issues like power tariff hikes, is a calculated move to keep the YSR Congress Party in the limelight and energize his supporters ahead of future political battles.
