Jagan Links Tirumala Laddu to Tirupati Stampede Tragedy

YS Jagan, the leader of the opposition, made shocking comments links Thirumala laddu to Tirupati stampede tragedy to the ongoing issues around the Tirumala Laddu prasadams. During his visit to the SVIMS hospital in Tirupati, Jagan criticized the state government for its negligence and called for full accountability for the tragic incident.

Jagan’s Criticism of the Government

Jagan expressed his concerns over the stampede that led to the loss of six lives, calling it an unprecedented tragedy in the state’s history. He pointed out that every year, during the Vaikuntha Ekadashi, millions of devotees visit Tirumala to seek blessings from Lord Venkateswara, leading to high demand for darshan tokens. However, he questioned why there was a lack of proper security at the token counters, highlighting the responsibility of TTD officials, including the district collector, for the disaster.

He also accused Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of making inappropriate remarks about the incident and registering a faulty FIR. According to Jagan, the entire government machinery, including top officials and the police, should be held accountable for the tragedy. He specifically criticized TTD for its irresponsible actions in this incident, which took place in Chandrababu Naidu’s own district, further emphasizing that this was a clear case of government negligence.

Tirumala Laddu Controversy

In a controversial statement, Jagan linked the stampede tragedy to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s recent remarks on the Tirumala Laddu prasadams. Jagan accused the CM of spreading lies about the sacred prasadams and said that the CM’s actions demonstrated a lack of devotion and respect for God. He believed that the CM’s statements played a part in the tragedy and led to the disastrous incident.

Demand for Compensation

Jagan also demanded that the state government provide adequate compensation to the families of the victims. He proposed a compensation amount of at least ₹50 lakh for each family affected by the incident, further stressing the need for the government to take responsibility for the loss of life and the lack of adequate safety measures.

Conclusion

The Tirupati stampede has sparked intense political debate, with Jagan holding the state government accountable for the loss of lives. His accusations against the Chief Minister, as well as his demand for compensation for the victims’ families, have added a new layer to the ongoing controversy. As investigations continue, the call for accountability and change in the management of such events has gained momentum.
