During the session, Naidu emphasized how AI is transforming the global workforce, especially in sectors like Information Technology, healthcare, and agriculture. Experts at the event stressed the importance of upskilling the youth to avoid job losses due to automation and tech-driven disruptions.
By introducing AI education early in the curriculum, the government aims to:

AI Education in Agriculture: Drone Technology and Rural Empowerment
Naidu highlighted how AI is revolutionizing agriculture, particularly in northern Indian states. Drones powered by AI are being used to:
- Spray pesticides efficiently
- Monitor crops for diseases
- Improve yield predictions
He proposed implementing similar strategies in Andhra Pradesh and suggested that women in self-help groups (SHGs) be trained in AI-driven agricultural tools, including drone operations. This, he believes, will boost rural productivity and empower women through digital literacy.
Skilling the Workforce for an AI Future
In addition to educating students, the CM stressed the need to reskill existing IT professionals to keep up with AI advancements. This reskilling initiative will ensure that the current workforce remains relevant and secure in an evolving job market.
AI University and Startup Support in the Pipeline
As part of the state’s broader AI mission, Naidu announced plans to establish a dedicated AI university. The university will offer advanced training, research, and development opportunities to students and professionals.
