HYDRAA Clarifies: No Action on KTR’s Janwada Farmhouse

HYDRAA Chief Ranganath Addresses Media

In recent interactions with the media, HYDRAA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority) chief AV Ranganath provided clarity on his department’s operations and its approach to handling illegal structures in the state. With rising complaints about unauthorized constructions, Ranganath took the opportunity to explain how HYDRAA functions, particularly in response to concerns about specific properties, including the Janwada farmhouse owned by Kalvakuntla Taraka Ramarao (KTR).

Clarification on Janwada Farmhouse

Addressing the issue directly, Ranganath confirmed that HYDRAA would not be taking any action against KTR’s Janwada farmhouse. He explained that the property falls under the jurisdiction of Government Order (GO) 111, which is beyond HYDRAA’s purview. “The Janwada farmhouse is not within the scope of HYDRAA’s operations because it falls under GO 111. There are thousands of structures under this order, and we do not focus on the Janwada structure alone,” Ranganath stated. He further emphasized that the farmhouse does not fall within the Full Tank Level (FTL) or buffer zone, which are key areas of concern for HYDRAA.

Ranganath assured that while HYDRAA is ready to assist other departments in removing illegal structures under GO 111 if requested, it will not engage in actions”HYDRAA will not target any individual for political reasons,” he reiterated, aiming to dispel any speculation about the department’s intentions.

Revanth Reddy’s Stance on Allegations of Misconduct

On a related note, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy addressed concerns about corruption within lower levels of HYDRAA’s operation. He mentioned receiving complaints from various quarters that some officials were using HYDRAA’s name to threaten building owners and engage in corrupt practices. His statement reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring transparency and integrity in its operations.

HYDRAA Focus: Fair and Unbiased Enforcement

The statements from both Ranganath and Revanth Reddy highlight HYDRAA’s dedication to fair enforcement of regulations without succumbing to political pressure. By making it clear that the Janwada farmhouse is not under its jurisdiction, HYDRAA is aiming to maintain its focus on broader issues rather than getting entangled. As the department continues its work, the public can expect a more structured and impartial approach to handling illegal constructions across the state.
