However, this treatment of Indian deportees has sparked strong opposition from the Congress party, which staged a protest outside Parliament. Rahul Gandhi joined the demonstration, voicing concerns over the inhumane conditions faced by deported Indians.

“For 40 hours, we were handcuffed, our feet tied with chains, and we were not allowed to move an inch from our seats. It was worse than hell.”

Rahul Gandhi urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene, stating:

“Prime Minister, listen to this man’s pain. Indians deserve Dignity and Humanity, NOT Handcuffs.”

Congress leaders expressed outrage over the use of military aircraft for deporting Indians, stating that such treatment insults India’s dignity.

“Every nation has the right to deport illegal immigrants. However, deporting them in military aircraft while shackling them is unacceptable. The government must take immediate action to ensure this does not happen again.”

Government Urged to Demand Explanation

Congress has demanded that the Indian government seek a formal explanation from US authorities regarding this deportation process. The party insists that while deportation laws must respected, they should not violate basic human rights.
