Home Minister Warns Vijayasai Reddy: Jail Time Looms Amid Port Scandal Allegations

Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YCP) leader Vijayasai Reddy has stirred controversy with his recent aggressive remarks and social media posts. Known as the No. 2 leader of the YCP, Vijayasai recently threatened to jail Chandrababu Naidu if Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy returns as Chief Minister. His statement even included a controversial remark questioning Naidu’s longevity, sparking widespread criticism. Home Minister Anitha reacts to Vijayasai Reddy’s controversial remarks

Home Minister Anitha’s Fierce Response

The comments made by Vijayasai Reddy reached Andhra Pradesh’s Home Minister, Anitha, who didn’t hold back in her reaction. She reminded the public about the Lookout Circular (LOC) issued against Vijayasai for his alleged involvement in the Kakinada Port scandal.

“After the LOC was issued against Vijayasai for coercing KV Rao into handing over shares in the Kakinada Port, it seems he has lost his mental balance,” Anitha remarked. She further criticized him for his disrespectful remarks about the seniority of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Kakinada Port Scandal and Legal Troubles

The Kakinada Port case has cast a long shadow over Vijayasai Reddy’s political career. The Home Minister elaborated on the seriousness of the issue. Stating that Vijayasai and his associates are deeply entangled in the port scandal. She assured that strict legal action is underway and hinted at impending jail time for those found guilty.

“In due time, Vijayasai might end up tweeting from jail,” Anitha quipped, underscoring the severity of the allegations against him.

YCP Leader’s Bold Claims

In contrast, Vijayasai Reddy recently asserted that Chandrababu Naidu would face imprisonment if Jagan Reddy regains the Chief Minister’s position. However, political analysts believe that the current NDA-led government is focusing on cracking down on Vijayasai’s alleged financial irregularities from the YCP tenure between 2019 and 2024.

Growing Political Tension

Vijayasai’s remarks and the Home Minister’s rebuttal highlight the escalating tensions between the ruling NDA and the YCP. The Kakinada Port case, which involves accusations of financial mismanagement and coercion, remains a key issue, and any legal actions against Vijayasai could have significant political ramifications.

As this situation unfolds, the political environment in Andhra Pradesh is likely to remain charged, with both sides trading allegations and preparing for the next big move.
