Former Minister Perni Nani criticizes Jagan Leadership at CMO
In a recent interview with a private news channel, former minister Perni Nani made scathing remarks about former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s administration at the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). Nani did not mince words, describing Jagan’s management style as a “disaster” and criticizing his handling of key responsibilities.
Nani expressed deep concern over what he perceived as Jagan’s misplaced trust in officials, stating, “A rider should lead their horse, not the other way around.” He suggested that this lack of proactive leadership at the CMO had led to unfair treatment of MLAs and a general disconnect between the party leadership and its cadre.
The former minister highlighted the challenges faced by YSRCP employees, noting that the losses incurred under Jagan’s leadership had left many disillusioned and uncertain about the party’s future. Despite acknowledging that the public still held strong ties with the party chief, Nani lamented that internal party dynamics had suffered significantly.
Furthermore, Nani took aim at Jagan’s family members, criticizing his mother and sister for publicly airing grievances instead of resolving issues through legal channels. He argued that such public disputes had tarnished the party’s image and affected the morale of thousands of party cadres who were initially drawn to the YSRCP due to its association with Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s legacy.
Nani’s candid remarks underscore a growing rift within the YSRCP, reflecting broader concerns about leadership style, internal governance, and the party’s ability to maintain unity and focus amidst internal challenges. As the political landscape continues to evolve, Nani’s critique adds to the ongoing discourse surrounding leadership accountability and party cohesion within Andhra Pradesh politics.
