Former AP Intelligence Chief PSR Anjaneyulu Arrested

🕵️‍♂️ PSR Anjaneyulu: Arrest of Former Top Cop Shakes AP Police Circles

In a significant development, former Andhra Pradesh Intelligence Chief PSR Anjaneyulu has been arrested by CID officials in Hyderabad. The arrest is linked to a harassment case filed by actress Kadambari Jethwani. Anjaneyulu, a senior IPS officer, is now being transferred to Andhra Pradesh, where officials are expected to question him in detail during his custody.

🔍 Background: PSR Anjaneyulu Role Under YSRCP Government

Anjaneyulu previously served as the Intelligence Chief during the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) regime, and he is widely believed to be a close aide of former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. His arrest marks a turning point, especially as he is listed as Accused No. 2 (A2) in the ongoing case.

Earlier, two other top officials—former Vijayawada Commissioner Kanthirana Thatha and IPS officer Vishal Gunni—were already suspended for their alleged involvement in the same matter.

🎭 Kadambari Jethwani’s Complaint Triggers Probe

According to sources, Anjaneyulu is accused of masterminding a plot to falsely implicate actress Kadambari Jethwani. He allegedly coordinated with YSRCP leader Kukkala Vidyasagar, who filed a case against Jethwani. The complaint claimed that she had forged property documents and sold them illegally.

Based on this allegation, Jethwani and her parents were arrested. Their interrogation was overseen by the now-suspended officials, Thatha and Gunni.

⚖️ New Government, New Investigations

After the change in government, Kadambari Jethwani submitted a complaint about the harassment and wrongful arrest she and her family endured. This complaint reopened the case and led to the registration of new charges against PSR Anjaneyulu and other officials involved.

🛑 What’s Next for Anjaneyulu?

The arrest of such a senior officer has sparked debate across political and law enforcement circles. As investigations proceed, more details are expected to emerge about the extent of misuse of power during the previous administration.

The CID is reportedly planning to dig deeper into the chain of command that enabled this harassment, which may lead to further arrests or disciplinary action.
