Dy Speaker RRR Warns Jagan of Disqualification
Dy Speaker RRR Issues Strong Warning to Jagan Over Assembly Attendance
Deputy Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju (RRR), has issued a stern warning to former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy over his continuous absence from Assembly sessions. Deputy Speaker RRR warns Jagan Mohan Reddy of possible disqualification for skipping Assembly sessions. Will Jagan face action this time?
Jagan’s Absence Could Lead to Disqualification
RRR emphasized that Jagan, as the elected representative of Pulivendula, must participate in Assembly proceedings, express his opinions on public policy, and fight for the interests of his constituency. He made it clear that he expects Jagan to fulfill his duties as an MLA and attend sessions regularly.
The Deputy Speaker further warned that Jagan could face disqualification if he fails to maintain the mandatory attendance percentage in the Assembly. According to regulations, any MLA who skips sessions for over 60 days without prior permission can face disqualification. If enforced, this could lead to a by-election in Pulivendula.
Why Is Jagan Avoiding the Assembly?
Jagan Mohan Reddy appears hesitant to attend the Assembly, possibly fearing a tough political atmosphere dominated by NDA leaders. Notably, RRR himself has been vocal against Jagan, which could be another reason for the former CM’s reluctance to step into the Assembly.
Speaker RRR Warns Jagan: Will Jagan Face Action This Time?
Interestingly, both Jagan and Chandrababu Naidu had previously skipped Assembly sessions in 2017 and 2022, yet no action taken against them. The big question now will Jagan’s case be handled differently this time? If RRR serious about his warning, he may have to push for strict action to enforce the regulations.
As political tensions rise in Andhra Pradesh, all eyes are on RRR and the Assembly to see if Jagan Mohan Reddy will face consequences for his absence.
