CM Hits Back at Opposition, Defends Musi River Project

Revanth Reddy Defends Musi River Rejuvenation

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy strongly defended the Musi river front development project. He clarified that the project isn’t just about beautifying the river but about improving the quality of life for those living nearby. He criticized the opposition, led by BRS leader KTR, for trying to stop the project.

Revanth went further, challenging the opposition to live on the Musi riverfront for three months to experience the poor conditions themselves. He even requested that houses on the riverfront be allocated to opposition leaders like Eatala Rajender, KTR, and Harish Rao as part of the rehabilitation program.

Refuting Allegations on Project Cost

Revanth Reddy denied allegations that the Musi project would cost ₹1.50 lakh crores. He mocked comparisons to the Kaleshwaram project, stating that his administration wouldn’t misuse funds. Revanth stressed that the money will be spent wisely to benefit the public.

He also criticized the government’s handling of Hyderabad’s traffic problems, particularly during heavy rains. He took a direct shot at KTR, suggesting that citizens shouldn’t have to turn to someone “sleeping in a farmhouse” for help during floods.

Satirical Comments on Opposition’s Propaganda

Revanth Reddy dismissed claims that the Musi project was simply for beautification. He compared these claims to people getting hair transplants in Dubai, emphasizing that the project is about real transformation.

He also added that his government isn’t working with “Andala Bhamalu” (beautiful ladies), dismissing opposition accusations that funds were being misused.

Musi River Rejuvenation: A Key Focus

Revanth Reddy stressed that the Musi River project is about creating a cleaner environment for the city’s residents, especially those living near the river. He reassured the public that the project would improve the area’s hygiene and reduce environmental risks.

Revanth’s defense of the HYDRAA initiative shows his commitment to pushing forward with the project, despite opposition resistance.
