Chandrababu’s P4 Program Gets Rs 10 Crore Boost
P4 Program Gains Momentum With First Big Contribution
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has consistently built a reputation for pioneering progressive governance models. Staying true to his reformist legacy, Naidu launched the ambitious P4 initiative on Ugadi 2025. This program—Public-Private-People Partnership—is envisioned as a revolutionary poverty eradication model focused on inclusive and participatory development.
Just a week into its inception, the P4 program has already seen an encouraging sign of public-private collaboration, with the first major donation of ₹10 crore being announced.
Karumuri Prasad Donates ₹10 Crore Toward Lift Irrigation Project
The first donation to the P4 program comes from Karumuri Prasad, Chairman of Prasad Seeds, one of India’s leading seed companies. Prasad has pledged ₹10 crore toward the Kommamuru Lift Irrigation Project in Andhra Pradesh.
Once completed, this critical infrastructure project will benefit over 5,300 acres of farmland, providing consistent irrigation support to thousands of farmers in the region. This, in turn, is expected to enhance crop yields, improve livelihoods, and contribute to the poverty eradication mission set by the P4 program.
How the P4 Model Works
Under the P4 framework, the state government aims to connect the top 10% of income earners with the bottom 20% of the population. These wealthier individuals or corporate entities encouraged to support underprivileged families through:
- Financial assistance
- Mentorship and capacity building
- Resource allocation (education, healthcare, farming support, etc.)
The Andhra Pradesh government plays a central role in this partnership by leveraging data analytics to:
- Identify eligible families in need
- Ensure transparency and accountability
- Track outcomes and measure impact
Vision for Inclusive Growth
Chief Minister Naidu has stressed that P4 is not just a scheme—it’s a movement. He believes that sustainable poverty eradication must come from a collective responsibility model, where communities actively support one another, guided and facilitated by a responsible government.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan is also playing an active role in promoting the P4 model and expected to spearhead community outreach programs in the coming weeks.
A Promising Start for a Game-Changing Initiative
With ₹10 crore already pledged and momentum building, the P4 initiative has had a powerful start. If the model sees widespread adoption, Andhra Pradesh could well become the blueprint for community-powered economic development in India.
