Chandrababu Naidu’s Shift to Amaravati
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is preparing to make Amaravati his permanent home. After residing at the Lingamaneni guest house in Karakatta, Undavalli, for years, Naidu has taken a significant step toward constructing his official residence in the Velagapudi area of Amaravati. CM Chandrababu Naidu secures a 5-acre plot in Amaravati’s Velagapudi for his new official residence, near key locations in the capital region.
Strategic Land of 5-Acre Acquisition in Velagapudi
Naidu has acquired a 5-acre plot in the Velagapudi Revenue Division. The location was chosen strategically for its proximity to Amaravati’s Seed Access Road, ensuring ease of access to key establishments. The new site is within a two-kilometer radius of prominent landmarks such as:
- The temporary High Court
- Judges’ residences
- VIT University
- Other significant locations in the capital region
The acquired land originally belonged to three farmers from the same family under the returnable land category. Naidu reportedly paid the full price to the owners, ensuring a smooth transaction.
Planned Construction of the Official Residence in 5-Acre
The 5-acre plot will host not only the Chief Minister’s official residence but also facilities for:
- Security personnel accommodations
- Parking for official vehicles
- Additional administrative amenities
Currently, soil sampling and land tests are underway to prepare the plot for construction. The project is expected to commence shortly. Once completed, the Velagapudi residence will mark a new chapter for Naidu, signifying his long-term commitment to Amaravati as the state’s administrative hub.
Proximity to Amaravati’s Development
The move to Velagapudi aligns with Naidu’s vision of Amaravati as a thriving capital. By positioning his residence near key government establishments, Naidu underscores his intent to remain actively involved in the capital’s development and governance.
Conclusion: A Strategic Move for the Future
