The Telangana government has assessed the damage at a staggering 5,438 crore. Floodwaters engulfed roads and houses, worsening the situation and complicating relief efforts.
Andhra Pradesh Faces Canal Breach
In Andhra Pradesh, the Budameru canal breached its banks, submerging areas in and around Vijayawada. The breach forced thousands of residents to flee their homes, and the resulting flood damage was significant. To help stranded citizens, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s administration deployed drones to deliver emergency supplies to affected areas.
Following the breach, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu quickly mobilized resources to assist flood victims. The state government even used drones to supply essential items like food and medicine to people stranded in flooded areas.
