CBN Busts Jagan’s Caste Allegations with DCCB Appointments
Jagan’s Allegations with DCCB: A Caste-Centric Narrative
In Andhra Pradesh politics, caste dynamics have long played a central role. While both major parties—Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP)—have been accused of social engineering, YSRCP and its leadership, especially Jagan Mohan Reddy, often project TDP as a Kamma-dominated party. YSRCP’s caste-based accusations by appointing Reddy leaders to key DCCB roles.
Jagan and his party’s social media wings frequently claim that TDP excludes other communities, especially the Reddy community. However, recent decisions by the Chandrababu Naidu-led government are painting a starkly different picture.
Breaking the Myth: DCCB Chairman Posts Reflect Inclusivity
Today, the Andhra Pradesh government released a list of District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) chairperson appointments across 10 districts. Contrary to YSRCP’s long-standing rhetoric, the Reddy community received 50% of these chairmanships, while Kamma representation stood at only 20%.
Here’s the full breakdown of appointments:
- Sivvala Suryanarayana (TDP) – Srikakulam
- Kona Thatharao (Janasena) – Visakhapatnam
- Kimidi Nagarjuna (TDP) – Vizianagaram
- Makineni Mallikarjunarao (TDP) – Guntur
- Nettem Raghuram (TDP) – Krishna
- Dhanunjaya Reddy (TDP) – Nellore
- Amasa Rajasekhar Reddy (TDP) – Chittoor
- Keshava Reddy (TDP) – Anantapur
- D. Vishnuvardhan Reddy (TDP) – Kurnool
- B. Suryanarayana Reddy (TDP) – Kadapa
Out of these 10 appointments, five are from the Reddy community, showcasing a balanced and inclusive administrative approach by the TDP government.
Comparing with the YSRCP’s Record
During Jagan’s tenure as Chief Minister, there was a visible tilt toward the Reddy community across various administrative levels. Whether it was municipal councils, mandal-level appointments, or even cabinet positions, a significant majority were reserved for Reddy leaders.
TDP’s latest DCCB appointments stand in contrast. They reflect an effort to accommodate all communities based on merit and local relevance rather than on caste favoritism.
A Message of Balanced Governance
The numbers speak for themselves. While Jagan tries to frame TDP as a one-caste-centric party, Chandrababu Naidu is actively promoting inclusive governance. These appointments challenge the narrative pushed by YSRCP and prove that TDP is building a more socially representative leadership structure.
This development should encourage voters to look beyond rhetoric and examine the actual decisions being made by those in power. In this case, Chandrababu’s actions speak louder than Jagan’s words.
