BRS Leader Criticizes Congress and BJP MPs from Telangana for Inaction

Vinod Kumar Questions Lack of Budget Representation

Hyderabad: BRS Leader Calls Out MPs

Former BRS MP B Vinod Kumar has publicly criticized the BJP and Congress MPs from Telangana for their lack of action in advocating for state projects. Despite both parties securing eight MP seats each, Kumar pointed out that none have submitted any representations to the Centre for budget allocations for Telangana in the past 15 days.

Demanding Action Ahead of Budget Session

With the budget session of Parliament set to commence on Monday, Vinod Kumar has urged Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay, along with other BJP MPs, to push for national status for key projects such as the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme, the railway coach factory at Kazipet, the steel plant at Bayyaram, and additional funds for backward districts and Navodaya Vidyalayas across Telangana. He also called on Congress MPs to support these crucial initiatives.

Addressing Long-Standing Issues

“This budget is critical as it lays the foundation for five years of Narendra Modi’s administration at the Centre. The Modi government has neglected the issues outlined in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act for the past ten years. It is imperative that the Centre fulfills its promises as per the Act,” Kumar stated.

Expectations from Union Government

Kumar noted that the Union government is likely to allocate significant funds to Andhra Pradesh due to the support from the TDP at the Centre. He emphasized that during their tenure, BRS MPs actively raised Telangana’s issues in Parliament and achieved tangible results. He encouraged current MPs to follow this example to ensure the State’s needs are addressed.
