Bhuma Akhila Priya Demands Jagan’s Portrait Removal

TDP general secretary and Allagadda MLA, Bhuma Akhila Priya, has stirred up controversy with her recent visit to the Vijaya Dairy office in Nandyal, Kurnool district. During her visit, she questioned the officials for continuing to display the portrait of former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on the premises. Akhila Priya demanded that they immediately replace it with the portrait of the current Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, in line with the recent change in government.

Confronting the Officials

Bhuma Akhila Priya expressed her displeasure with the dairy office officials for not following the protocol after the TDP took over the state’s governance. She sharply criticized the officials for still displaying Jagan’s photo, which she saw as a violation of official decorum. Akhila Priya demanded swift action, asking them to ensure Naidu’s portrait is given its rightful place.

The Dispute Over the Chair

Adding to the drama, when Akhila Priya visited the Vijaya Dairy office, the Chairman of the Dairy Unit, SV Mohan Reddy, was not present. In his absence, she sat in his chair, leading to a heated argument. When Mohan Reddy learned about this, he called Akhila Priya, questioning her decision to sit in his chair, sparking a verbal dispute.

Akhila Priya, visibly irritated by the chairman’s question, responded sharply. “Who are you to question me? You have no right to ask why I sat in your chair,” she asserted, making it clear that she didn’t feel answerable to him.

Exchange of Heated Words

The tension escalated further when SV Mohan Reddy accused Akhila Priya of not having the authority to inspect the dairy office. To this, she firmly responded, “If you called me as a relative, there’s no issue in me sitting in your chair. But if you called me as the chairman of the Dairy unit, then you have no right to question me. Put your complaint in writing if you feel so strongly.”

The MLA’s confrontational tone and the chairman’s rebuttal turned the incident into a public spectacle, drawing attention to the deep political divisions in the region.

Political Implications

This incident is being seen as another example of the increasing tension between the TDP and YSRCP as the political landscape in Andhra Pradesh continues to evolve. Bhuma Akhila Priya’s strong stance against the former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and her assertion of authority over the dairy officials show her determination to uphold her party’s standing in the state.
