Babu Alleges Jagan’s Conspiracy to Destroy Prakasam Barrage
A Devastating Collision at Prakasam Barrage
Last week, Vijayawada faced serious flooding as the Budameru Canal submerged several low-lying areas. While the government rushed to manage the crisis, a more alarming incident occurred when four boats collided with the Prakasam Barrage, causing damage to its gates and counterweights. Authorities are now investigating whether this was an act of sabotage.
Suspected Sabotage in the Boat Incident at Prakasam Barrage
The government responded swiftly to prevent a disaster after the boats were improperly anchored and allowed to drift into the barrage. The investigation has uncovered evidence that suggests foul play.
YSRCP Leaders Under Scrutiny
As more details emerged, connections between the boats and close associates of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) members came to light. The absence of basic safety precautions has fueled suspicions that the party was involved. Ruling party leaders quickly accused YSRCP of plotting the incident to destabilize the government and gain political leverage. The absence of necessary precautions in securing the boats only deepened suspicions. Ruling party leaders began pointing fingers at YSRCP, alleging the incident was a deliberate attempt to damage the barrage and destabilize the ruling government.
Political Blame Game Begins
Irrigation Minister Rama Naidu, IT Minister Lokesh, and Home Minister Anitha were quick to criticize Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of orchestrating the incident. They condemned the YSRCP’s alleged attempt to endanger lives and launch a smear campaign against the ruling party.
Chandrababu Naidu’s Serious Allegations
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu took the accusations a step further. He claimed that Jagan Mohan Reddy’s actions were part of a larger conspiracy to destroy the Prakasam Barrage and kill thousands. Naidu suggested that YSRCP’s desperation after losing the assembly elections led them to hatch such a dangerous plan.
Ongoing Investigation and Arrests
Based on a complaint from the Irrigation Department, police teams moved quickly to arrest two suspects linked to the incident. While the investigation continues, YSRCP leaders have denied any involvement, dismissing the accusations as politically motivated.
