A tragic incident occurred on Monday morning in Annamayya district, Andhra Pradesh, claiming the life of Deputy Collector Sugali Rama. The officer was en route to attend a grievance cell meeting at the district headquarters in Rayachoti when the fatal accident took place.
Rama, who served as the Special Deputy Collector under the Handri Niva Sujala Sravanthi (HNSS) Project, was stationed in Pileru. Every Monday, she would travel to the district center to address public grievances.

While traveling from Pileru to Rayachoti, Rama’s vehicle collided with an oncoming vehicle near Erreguntla in Sambepalli mandal. The impact was severe, and Sugali Rama died on the spot. Four others traveling in the vehicles were seriously injured in the crash.
Local police rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the alert. They transported Rama’s body to the government hospital for post-mortem procedures and shifted the injured individuals to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment.
