Andhra Pradesh to Host India’s Largest Green Hydrogen Hub

PM Modi Leads Green Hydrogen Hub

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for India’s largest green hydrogen hub on November 29. This project, led by NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), will position Andhra Pradesh as a green energy leader. The virtual ceremony will take place at Andhra University Engineering College Grounds in Visakhapatnam.

Green Hydrogen Hub: The Vision for a Green Future

The upcoming green hydrogen hub will be built on 1,600 acres at Pudimadaka in Anakapalle district. It aims to turn Andhra Pradesh into a powerhouse of renewable energy while helping India become a global leader in green hydrogen production.

Governor Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, along with other leaders, will participate in this groundbreaking event. This project reflects the government’s focus on renewable energy and sustainability goals.

A Historic Visit

This event marks Prime Minister Modi’s first visit to Andhra Pradesh since the formation of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in the state. To celebrate the occasion, BJP leaders have planned a grand roadshow in Visakhapatnam.

Preparations are in full swing, with officials working hard to ensure a successful ceremony. The venue is expected to attract a large gathering, symbolizing the state’s commitment to renewable energy.

Extensive Arrangements

Visakhapatnam Collector MN Harendhira Prasad and other officials are closely monitoring the arrangements. They are ensuring that everything runs smoothly. The Prime Minister will arrive at INS Dega on the evening of November 29.

Depending on the situation, he may travel to the venue by road or air. If the roadshow happens, it will cover a 500-meter stretch from Tycoon Hotel Junction to SP Bungalow.

Event Relocation

Initially, the event planned near the project site in Anakapalle. However, logistical challenges and expected bad weather due to low-pressure activity in the Bay of Bengal led to a shift to Visakhapatnam.

A Green Energy Milestone

This project is a major step towards India’s renewable energy goals. Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to promote green energy will boost its economy and help the environment.

By supporting renewable projects like this, the government shows its commitment to sustainable growth. The green hydrogen hub will not only benefit the state but also strengthen India’s position in the global energy market.
