What Is One Nation One Election?

The idea of One Nation One Election suggests holding elections for parliament, state assemblies, and local bodies all at once. The NDA government, led by Prime Minister Modi, believes this will speed up the nation’s economic growth. Frequent elections, according to Modi, slow down development.
