Aloori Bal Venkateshwara Rao (ABV) Rewarded After YSRCP’s Suppression
In a significant move, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has taken a bold decision regarding former IPS officer Aloori Bal Venkateshwara Rao (ABV). After facing nearly five years of suspension under the YSRCP government, ABV has now been compensated and appointed to a prestigious post.
ABV, who was allegedly harassed by the previous government, fought his suspension in court and even approached the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT). Although the CAT provided him with some relief, the YSRCP-led government continued its targeted actions against him.
Aloori Bal Venkateshwara Rao (ABV’s) Struggles Under YSRCP Rule
Despite the courts directing that ABV be appointed as Director General of Printing and Stationery, he was again suspended on allegations of negligence. His repeated pleas for a basic salary to support his family were ignored.
As the state elections approached, courts dismissed all cases against him. Though his official tenure ended during the YSRCP’s rule, he retired on that day without receiving his pending dues.
Chandrababu Naidu’s Bold Move
After the formation of the coalition government, ABV’s situation took a dramatic turn. Since the cases against him were legally dismissed, the government approved his full salary for the suspension period. The finance department cleared an amount exceeding ₹50 lakh in his favor.
Taking it a step further, CM Chandrababu Naidu made another major decision—appointing ABV as Chairman of the Police Housing Corporation. His two-year tenure will officially begin on February 1.
A Competitive Appointment
This appointment was not without competition. Several TDP leaders had been eyeing the Chairman of the Police Housing Corporation post, including:
✅ Nagul Meera – Former chairman from Vijayawada and senior TDP leader.
✅ Ex-MLA from Krishna District – A candidate who gave up his election ticket last time.
Despite strong political contenders, Chandrababu Naidu entrusted ABV with the role, recognizing his past struggles and contributions.
Final Thoughts
The reinstatement of ABV and his appointment to a key position signals a shift in governance under Chandrababu Naidu. It not only rectifies past injustices but also strengthens the credibility of the new government’s administrative decisions. With this move, Naidu has sent a strong message about justice and fair governance in Andhra Pradesh.
